Swedish guidelines supports ProPrems® composition

The Swedish Neonatal Society has published a new guideline on how to support the intestinal microbiota in preterm infants.

In brief, the guideline supports the use of the specific strain combination in ProPrems®, i.e. Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium lactis and Streptococcus thermophilus.

The Swedish guideline refers to an upcoming ESPGHAN Position Paper in print (but yet not available online) that several quality aspects should also be considered, such as characteristics related to strain viability and stability, contaminant control, and lack of antibiotic resistance genes.

ProPrems® not only contains the composition supported by the guideline, but also complies to specified quality criteria.
